Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a car to my garage?▾
Browse the catalog on the homepage, find a car you own, and click "Add to Collection". You'll be able to record the condition and any notes about your piece.
What are the seller verification tiers?▾
Tier 1 is the default (collector). Tier 2 verified sellers can list items and accept trades. Tier 3 Power Sellers get featured placement and reduced fees. Visit the Verify page to see how to apply.
Why do I need a proof-of-possession photo?▾
For listings priced $50 or more we require at least one photo of the actual item you're selling. This protects buyers from stock-photo scams and builds trust.
How does the auction sniping protection work?▾
If a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes of an auction, the end time automatically extends by 5 minutes, giving all bidders a fair chance to respond.
How do trades work?▾
Any logged-in user can propose a straight swap between two garage items. The receiver can accept or reject. On acceptance, both items transfer ownership automatically.
How are payments processed?▾
DiecastPool uses PayPal for secure buyer payments. We never store card details. Sellers are paid directly to their PayPal account after the order is confirmed.
What happens if an item doesn't arrive?▾
Open a support ticket within 30 days of purchase. We'll mediate between buyer and seller. Keep all tracking information and packaging photos as evidence.
Can I list third-party or replica items?▾
No. DiecastPool is exclusively for authentic licensed die-cast models. Listing replicas, fakes, or unlicensed copies is a permanent ban offence.
